"10 Things for Which I Feel Grateful"

Provincial Minister Fr. Jeffrey Scheeler, OFM, shares (in David Letterman fashion) his “10 things for which I feel grateful.”
1. I am grateful for several dear friends that I know will be there for me.
2. I am grateful for Fr. Frank Jasper, who serves as our Vicar.

3. I am grateful for our competent and efficient Provincial staff.
4. I am grateful for being part of a province that has so many gifted and talented people doing great things; I feel proud of being connected with you.
5. I am grateful for the freedom we seem to give each other to pursue our dreams.

6. I am grateful for being part of a worldwide organization and the opportunities to travel; I think it broadens my view of the world.
7. I am grateful for Catholic Social Teaching; it helps me with voting.
8. I am grateful for the sense of hope that I get from believing in the Incarnation and the Resurrection; and to know that I live in a world of goodness and gift.
9. I am grateful for Paradox and the Paschal Mystery.
10. As I reflect on St. Francis, I am grateful for his sense of universal fraternity, and humbled by the privilege of trying to follow him.
