August 3, Second day of Novena to St. Clare
As you pray for your personal intentions, please remember prayer for the poor, forgotten, desperate and lonely around the world and in our neighborhoods.
When Clare came out from her long prayer, her face shone more radiant than usual. For God’s kindness provided for her soul, which had been filled with His true light in prayer, to be reflected in her body. It was her constant prayer and compassionate heart that was filled with strong desire and fervent love for the Poor Crucified Christ, which brought many miracles for the sick and the troubled.
The sign of the cross that she traced on the forehead of those who came to the enclosure healed their illnesses and troubles and transformed their hearts into light for Christ.
During this pandemic, we ask you St. Clare, out of your love for Jesus Christ, to intercede for the poor and the sick (name……), for the suffering and those dying with illnesses of any kind (name……), for those forgotten by society (name……), for the desperate and lonely (name……). Amen.
