Teach us how to love one another the way You love us — with patience, gentleness, mercy, kindness, faithfulness, understanding, and sacrifice. Lord, we ask You to heal every broken place within us. Heal our marriage, our communication, our thoughts, our emotions, our home, and our hearts. Remove bitterness, anger, resentment, sin, pride, lust, selfish ambition, laziness, fear, and every spirit that tries to divide us. Replace those things with patience, humility, communication, laughter, humor, joy, compassion, grace, discernment, teamwork, consideration, thoughtfulness, peace, reconciliation, restoration, belief, helpfulness, unity, wisdom, forgiveness, loyalty, and true love. Jesus, become the center of our marriage. Be the glue that holds us together when life becomes difficult. Help us walk together in agreement and unity. Teach us to pray together, support, encourage, and protect each other. Let our marriage honor You in every way. Lord, help me become the husband You have called me to be — responsible, loving, faithful, hardworking, gentle, strong, patient, and full of wisdom, self-control, respectful, caring. Help my wife become the woman You created her to be — prudent, blessed, loved, protected, encouraged, peaceful, full of honor, loyalty, respectful, and full of Your grace.
